DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY
Oksana Ivankova-Stetsyuk is Acting Head of the Department of Social Anthropology, Doctor of Social Sciences, Leading Research Fellow at the Ethnology Institute of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (in Lviv).
She defended her thesis «Folk Culture in the life of Modern Ukrainian Society» for getting the Candidate’s Degree (Ph.D equivalent) in Sociological Sciences (2000, the Institute of Sociology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine). She defended her thesis «Conceptualization of changes in organizational forms of religious life: Ukrainian context» for getting the Doctor’s Degree (Doctor Habilitat equivalent) in Sociological Sciences (2012, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). She got an academic title of Associate Professor in 2005 (the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the National University «Lviv Polytechnic»).
Oksana Ivankova-Stetsyuk has published more than 50 scientific papers in Ukraine and abroad. Her book «The Church in Space of Migration: Ethnocultural Resources and Sociointegrative Potential of Ukrainian Religious Communities» came out in 2012. She was co-author of a number of research projects implemented by NGOs in collaboration with universities and academic institutions in Ukraine and abroad. She is a member of the Sociological Association of Ukraine.
Her research interests include the analysis of developing of charitable activities social and religious organizations and methodology for analysis of numerical data.
